Our duty is to the court
When a dispute turns on fire safety, the decision maker needs an expert who understands the legislation, the standards and how buildings work in practice, and who can explain it clearly. We provide independent expert opinion on fire safety matters for litigation, tribunals, insurance claims and regulatory proceedings.
Our reports are written to comply with Part 35 of the Civil Procedure Rules and its Practice Direction where they apply. That means our opinion is objective and unbiased, it is based on the evidence, and our overriding duty is to the court rather than to the party instructing us.
We can be instructed by one party or appointed as a single joint expert, and we can also give early, confidential advice to help you understand the technical strengths and weaknesses of a case before it proceeds.
